Sanskrit Lessons - Day 1

Hi guys. Today, we're going to start our journey of learning Sanskrit. It's a matter of great delight that you have joined this club in interest of Sanskrit. So, it's easy.

Well, all might think think that Sanskrit is like Hindi 2.0. Hahaha. I agree with you, but Sanskrit is slightly different from Hindi. Let me tell you briefly about this.

Changes in Sanskrit:

1. If we are pronouncing a word that is ending in half maatra, For example बालक - Baalak. This is actually Baalaka in Sanskrit. If we want to pronounce it as Baalak we have to add ् to it. So, Baalak is actually written as बालक्.

2. There is one unusual letter that is लृ - Lru which isn't there in Hindi.

3. There are विभक्तीः Vibhakthih and लकारः Lakaarah ( Tenses)

So, there are many more changes in Sanskrit which we will learn soon.

Today, I would like to show you the स्वरः in Sanskrit.

स्वरः

 अ आ इ ई उ ऊ ऋ लृ ए ऎ ओ औ अं अः
